Nguyen Hoang Khang – Foreign Trade University prodigy becoming a multi-colored piece for Global Student Fashion Week

Global Student Fashion Week is a clear testament to the creativity and passion of the younger generation. The event is not just a fashion competition but also a platform for inspiration and opportunity for students. With the participation of Global Student Model Ambassadors – “precious gems” embodying both beauty and intellect – especially the appearance of Mister FTUCharm 2023, Nguyen Hoang Khang, the event has spread positive messages about fashion and ignited the passion of many young people.

Academic superstar

Nguyen Hoang Khang, also known as Henry in international conversations, is currently a third-year student majoring in Integrated Marketing Communication at Foreign Trade University (Ho Chi Minh City campus) – one of the most selective universities in Vietnam. With a logical mindset, high competitiveness, humor, and a passion for exploring new horizons, Khang is always a standout figure.

With an IELTS score of 7.5 and achievements as a provincial-level student in English and Physics, Khang proved his potential from his time at Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School. This opened doors to prestigious universities around the world. Throughout his 12 years of secondary school, Khang consistently ranked in the top 5 of his class, including two years as the top student in his grade. This outstanding academic performance is evidenced by him receiving scholarships in all six semesters at Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School and achieving a GPA of 4.0/4.0. At Foreign Trade University, Khang continued to shine by receiving two consecutive scholarships for being in the top 5% of students with the highest academic achievements in his major. Not only excelling in academics, Khang is also a member of the Communications and Technical Committee, proving his leadership abilities and commitment to extracurricular activities.

Journey of self-changing and passion for fashion

In addition to his impressive academic achievements, Nguyen Hoang Khang also has a remarkable journey of personal transformation. From a chubby boy weighing 90 kg in middle school, he diligently followed a strict diet and high-intensity workout routine for over 4 months. As a result, Khang lost 20 kg and achieved a toned physique. This change wasn’t just physical; it is a clear testament to his resilience and determination to overcome personal challenges

This transformation not only impressed his family and friends but also boosted Khang’s confidence significantly. Since then, he has maintained his gym workouts and balanced diet as an essential part of his life. Alongside this, his weight loss journey sparked a strong passion for fashion. He dreams of working at high-end fashion brands like Christian Dior, not only as a model but also in marketing and serving high-end clients. Khang believes that working in the fashion industry will help him assert himself and bring more joy to his life. He aims to be associated with prestigious brands to fulfill his dream of becoming a part of the international fashion world.

Overcoming limits, reaching dreams

Not discouraged by his family’s opposition, Khang remained determined to participate in the beauty pageant. He took on all the logistical tasks for the competition himself, from choosing outfits to planning his performance. These challenges taught Khang perseverance, creativity, and an impressive sense of independence.

His success at the FTUCharm pageant and winning the title of Mister opened up many new opportunities for Khang. He became an ambassador and honorary guest for many major events, while also participating in a meaningful research project with Foreign Trade University and the Ministry of Industry and Trade on The Influence of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on import and export activities of firms. Nguyen Minh Kha, a teacher and successful model, has always been a great source of inspiration for Khang. Kha’s story of resilience has instilled in Khang a belief in pursuing one’s passions and overcoming challenges.

As a Global Student Model Ambassador at Global Student Fashion Week (GSFW), Khang wants to convey positive messages to young people. He aims to assert that everyone has their own unique value and can shine if they know how to put in the effort.

As the Global Student Model Ambassador for Global Student Fashion Week 2025, Nguyen Hoang Khang is not only an outstanding student role model but also an inspiration for change and passion. The perfect combination of Khang’s intellect, appearance, and willpower is a clear testament to the fact that we can achieve anything we desire if we dare to dream and persist. Through his actions, Khang aims to inspire the younger generation to confidently step out into the world, conquer new heights, and assert themselves in every field. Global Student Fashion Week 2025 promises to be a creative platform where Khang and other ambassadors will shine, not only in the fashion industry but also in other fields, creating a strong and inspiring community for the future.
