Suzume Club is an ideal space for those who love and are passionate about exploring the rich culture of Japan. Here, one can discover and celebrate all the unique art forms of Japan, ranging from literature, cinema, music, dance, modern choreography, fine arts, photography, fashion, to theater. To continue its journey of embracing challenges and expanding opportunities for exchange and learning with students nationwide, Suzume Club has officially registered for the competition “My Team Is The Leader”. This club is also a promising contender for this year’s championship title.
Suzume’s foundation and development
The Suzume Club belongs to the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture at Nguyen Trai University. Established in 2019 under its initial name, Himawari, the club’s activities were disrupted and fell short of expectations due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in 2021, Suzume Club officially resumed operations with a renewed spirit and stronger determination. Notably, the club’s name was changed from Himawari to Suzume, marking a significant transformation and heralding a promising new era of growth. “Suzume”, named after the sparrow, symbolizes freedom, dynamism, and new beginnings, perfectly capturing the club’s spirit and mission to provide a creative and artistic exchange environment for its members.
Since its revival, Suzume Club has achieved remarkable success in organizing cultural events, academic exchanges, and diverse artistic activities, ranging from literature, music, and cinema to fine arts, modern dance, and other creative endeavors. With the goal of becoming a strong bridge connecting students with Japanese culture, Suzume Club continuously strives to offer a platform for unlimited exploration, learning, and interaction with the artistic and cultural values of Japan, both traditional and modern.
Outstanding achievements in the journey of Suzume the sparrow

New challenging ventures awaiting the sparrow in the future
Overcoming many difficulties and challenges, the Suzume Club has gradually established a strong position within the student community, actively and steadily participating in cultural and artistic fields. Since resuming activities, the club has not only taken part in events on Nguyen Trai University’s campus but has also been invited to perform at various cultural and artistic exchange events hosted by other universities and organizations. The club’s performances and activities have always received high praise, not only for their professional quality but also for their organizational skills and creativity in each program.
Thanks to the dynamism, enthusiasm, and solidarity of its members, the Suzume Club has contributed to elevating the value of Japanese culture in the academic environment. The club’s success is not only reflected in its impressive artistic programs but also in its sustainable development over time. With its outstanding achievements, Suzume Club is now highly regarded by Nguyễn Trãi University, with hopes that it will continue to shine and become a highlight in the school’s cultural and artistic activities. The club is also expected to continue spreading the spirit of Japan to the student community and beyond, contributing to building a strong cultural bridge between Vietnam and Japan.
Soon, Suzume’s sparrows will participate in the “My Team Is The Leader” competition. This is a dynamic and valuable platform for clubs from universities, colleges, and high schools across the nation, promising fun yet competitive and energetic moments from young participants. At the same time, this competition provides Suzume members with the opportunity to freely showcase their talents and strengths.
