Playful Pieces

Wisps of windswept hair scattered across models’ temples and foreheads on the runway at Grace Ling felt sculptural, thanks to expert placement by lead stylist Rutger and team.

Celebrity hairstylist Tamika Gibson accented the ’90s-inspired French-roll styles at Sergio Hudson with a sultry front curl that gave the illusion of side bangs.

Strands of face-framing hair peeked out from beneath baseball caps and relaxed ponytails at Nanushka.

Making Waves

In addition to bounce, spring 2025 hair looks are all about ease. Soft, statement-making waves were on full display at 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Collina Strada’s runway beauty theme was inspired by its Spring/Summer 2025 “Touch Grass” collection, which celebrates natural texture. Models wore floor-length dyed, wavy wigs, which were braided and styled for movement by Charlie Li Mindu for Bumble and bumble.

Glossy bends of hair nicely complemented flowing skirts and open crocheted sweaters on Ralph Lauren’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway.

Loose waves with center parts on models at Brandon Maxwell’s Spring/Summer 2025 show offered a master class on “less is more” beauty.

Return of the Bob

Wella stylist Anthony Cole aimed to pair Prabal Gurung’s seasonal collection with weightless, bouncy, and healthy hair looks. “As part of Prabal’s vision, we wanted this hair to look effortless while still pop[ping],” he said in a statement. “For the style, we wanted it to move in the wind and have this endless bounce to the hair.”

High-shine hair swept the nape on the catwalk at Proenza Schouler’s Spring/Summer 2025 show. Chin-length bobs held a slight bend and provided plenty of bounce on Sandy Liang’s catwalk.

Slicked-Back and Smooth

Celebrity stylist Joey George used Oribe essentials to channel Ulla Johnson’s Spring/Summer 2025 inspiration: the patterns and prints of American artist Lee Krasner. George and team crafted a series of whimsical styles for the show, including twisted, S-shaped updos.

Center parts punctuated the slicked-back chignons seen on Carolina Herrera’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway. At Off-White, sleek ballerina-level buns took center stage. Pared-back hair allowed Alaïa’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection to shine as it spiraled down the Guggenheim Museum ramp in New York City.

Adornments 2.0

Inspired by Christian Siriano’s “dark fairy” “aesthetic, celebrity stylist Lacy Redway and team added a dusting of colorful glitter exclusively to models” standout waves. “The TreSemmé Extra Hold Mousse and Mega Control Gel are truly the stars of this look, setting the waves in place beautifully,” Redway said in a statement.

Lead hairstylist Matthew Curtis and Sola Salons beauty professionals added a hint of romance to Alice + Olivia’s spring presentation. Along with pearls and flowers, stylists also added oversize scrunchies and lace appliqués to models’ braided buns.

For Batsheva’s Spring/Summer 2025 presentation, models wore pigtails with tiny black and blue bows that felt very cutesy, very demure, very mindful.

The Fringe Effect

Nearly baby bangs had a major moment at Monse for Spring/Summer 2025. Who says bangs have to be perfect? As seen at Kim Shui, a slightly messy fringe can be as stylish as one that’s perfectly coiffed.

The curtain bangs seen on models at Tibi were quintessentially ’70s, especially when paired with easy waves.
