Vietnam records’ journey of going global

On February 16, 2025, At the International Conference Center – Government Office, the Vietnam Record Association successfully organized a scientific seminar with the theme “Vietnam Records in the Era of Growth and Value Elevation”. This event not only marked the summary of over two decades of formation and development of the Association but also represented an important milestone, opening a new phase to elevate Vietnam’s records internationally.

Seminar of strategic thinking

The seminar was attended by many experts, managers, entrepreneurs, and top record holders. The speakers discussed the role of records in developing personal and organizational brands, as well as the impact of records on creativity in the digital age. In-depth analyses from former leaders and industry experts provided clear directions for the future development of Vietnam’s record system.

At the event, former Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Thang Van Phuc, emphasized that records are an important tool in promoting the image of Vietnam and its people on the global map. He affirmed that the Vietnam Record Association has made and continues to make significant contributions to enhancing Vietnam’s value, giving the nation’s excellence the opportunity to stand alongside world records. Former Minister of Information and Communications, Le Doan Hop, focused on the role of media in spreading the value of records. He believed that records are not just a recognition of achievements but also an effective communication tool, helping businesses, individuals, and countries enhance their brands globally.

Professor, Honorary Doctor Nguyen Dinh Thang, a leading expert in finance and digital transformation, provided a new perspective on the application of technology in establishing and promoting records. In the digital age, preserving and enhancing the value of records not only involves recognizing achievements but also requires digital platforms to optimize the dissemination of information.

Launching the Center for Records Consulting and Development – Strategic step forward

One of the most notable highlights of the seminar was the launch of the Center for Records Consulting and Development. This center was established with the mission of supporting individuals and organizations in establishing, protecting, and developing the value of records. It is seen as a strategic step that helps Vietnam’s records have a more robust copyright protection system, while also expanding opportunities for sustainable development and commercialization of record values.

20 years of development and outstanding achievements

Looking back over more than two decades, the Vietnam Record Association has recognized and established over 3,500 records across the country, bringing nearly 120 world records and more than 160 Asian records to the international stage. With 53 Record Holders’ Gatherings, the Association has become an important bridge between Vietnam and prestigious record organizations worldwide, helping to honor the cultural, intellectual, and creative values of the Vietnamese people.

In addition to recognizing outstanding individuals, the Association actively implements action programs such as searching for, preserving, and applying the value of records in practice. Participation and winning medals in global intellectual sports competitions have proven that Vietnamese intellect is capable of strong competition in the international arena.

Strategic vision for a new phase

The seminar also set forth important directions for the development of the Vietnam Record Association in the coming period, including: Applying digital technology in the process of establishing and promoting records to enhance transparency and efficiency; Expanding international cooperation, helping more Vietnamese records have the opportunity to appear on the world record map; Strengthening connections with the business community, facilitating individuals and organizations to leverage records to develop their brands; Developing specialized training and consulting programs to optimize the value of records in the fields of economy, culture, and education.

The event concluded with many significant milestones, opening a new chapter in the development journey of the Vietnam Record Association. The Association sincerely thanks the experts, speakers, record holders, and partner organizations who contributed to the success of the seminar. In the coming period, the Association will continue its mission to honor and develop record values, playing a key role in helping Vietnam reach further on the international stage. These new steps not only affirm the position of Vietnam’s records but also contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
