Golden Goose put on a show for its second annual Paris Fashion Week event, taking over the Élysée Montmartre concert hall on Monday to debut its spring/summer 2025 Journey Collection. Rather than just sending clothes and shoes down the runway, the brand introduced the pieces via a theater performance that told the story of one young dreamer’s experience growing up.

Between the collection’s youthful pieces and the models-turned-actors onstage, Golden Goose served up a poignant reminder that, as they put it, “no matter how old you are, you always remain one of ‘those kids’ as long as you keep on dreaming.”

Just as moving—literally—was the performance’s artful choreography. The collection fused ’90s style with 2024 spirit, and all eyes were on Golden Goose’s new Forty2 sneaker, which took inspiration from the decade and the glory days of American basketball.

The beauty is in the detail of the artisan-crafted shoe, which features a double box-like sole; a calf leather and micro-perforated fabric upper; and three-dimensional star and accent detailing on its surface. A limited edition of the women’s Forty2 sneaker even includes Swarovski crystals dotting the laces.

Golden Goose had quite the audience for its spectacle, with an assortment of musicians, models, influencers, and actors taking in the collection.

Standouts include Golden Goose global brand ambassador Jackson Yee; models Stella Maxwell, Joan Smalls, and Lucky Blue Smith; actors Cole Sprouse and Peyton List; and musicians Kid Cudi, Justine Skye, and Girl in Red.
