Brooke Shields Wore the Foolproof Boots You Need This Season

You know how some things just go with everything? Take butter, for example. You can pretty much put on anything imaginable and it’ll improve the taste tenfold. Or, in fashion, a classic white tee, which you can pair with trousers or jeans or midi skirts, will make your look exceptional. Some pantry and closet staples are just a no-brainer, and when it comes to your footwear collection, Brooke Shields just served up the most no-brainer boot option. 

Shields always keeps it simple with her style—and practical, too. Remember when she wore those famous Cariuma Salva leather sneakers I’m totally obsessed with? Well, I do, because that airport outfit is still living rent-free in my mind. However, her recent look is a bit more dressed up, though it offers up another shoe moment that has my full attention: black leather boots. 

Shields attended an event wearing the most simple yet elegant two-piece look. She opted for a fitted black midi dress with long sleeves, an ideal option for this time of year. But, to round it all out, she paired said midi with black leather boots that give the ensemble some refined edge.

There are many boot options out there, from suede to moto, but there’s no denying that black leather boots in all heights (whether ankle or thigh-high) are a forever favorite because there are so many ways to wear them. You basically don’t even have to think when you put them on, and sometimes, that’s exactly what I want—fashion I don’t need to think about. Style them with a dress like Shields for a dinner out or pair them with wide-leg pants when in the office.
