“I Said I Love You First,” coming in March, is the couple’s first full-length collaboration.
The hits keep coming for Selena Gomez.
Fresh off her Cannes-winning film Emilia Pérez racking up 13 nominations at the 2025 Academy Awards and celebrating her engagement to record producer Benny Blanco, the couple have now announced they’re releasing a collaborative album.
Gomez announced the album, I Said I Love You First, in a Thursday Instagram post. “I always trick you guys 🥰 my NEW album I Said I Love You First with my best friend [Benny Blanco] is out on 3/21… We can’t wait to share this special project with you soon!”
The post contained several images of the couple, including one of the album’s cover art, which features Gomez and Blanco on a bed, spied through a keyhole. Gomez also announced the release of the first single off the album, “Scared of Loving You,” which an edited version of the album’s back cover included in the post reveals as the project’s last song.

Gomez and Blanco first collaborated in 2015. Blanco co-produced two songs off Gomez’s second studio album, Revival, that went on to become singles: “Kill Em With Kindness” and “Same Old Love.” They reunited again in 2019 for the song “I Can’t Get Enough” with Tainy and J Balvin.
Rumors wouldn’t begin to fly for another four years, when Gomez released the appropriately-titled song “Single Soon,” co-produced again by Blanco. A notoriously mischievous Instagram user, Gomez began generating rampant speculation by engaging with accounts posting about her rumored relationship with Blanco and posting cryptic stories alluding to a new romance.
The couple made their relationship Instagram official in December 2023, and announced their engagement the following December.
Blanco is a successful musician in his own right, with 11 Grammy nominations to his name and production credits on chart-topping songs by Britney Spears, Rihanna, The Weeknd, and SZA.
He launched his solo career in 2018 with the single “Eastside,” featuring Halsey and Khalid. I Said I Love You First marks both Blanco’s and Gomez’s first collaborative album and set for release on March 21.
