A grand return: Huynh Thi Cam Tien entering the realms of global pageantry

Vietnamese beauty Huynh Thi Cam Tien (Nahfeh Dohmatob) has just been announced as Vietnam’s representative at the inaugural Miss Afrikana International pageant. With her captivating mixed-race beauty and extensive experience competing in domestic beauty pageants, her return to the pageant arena has attracted considerable attention from audiences. This marks an opportunity for the beauty from An Giang to shine on the global stage and showcase her unique cultural identity.

A standout beauty

Information that Huynh Thi Cam Tien (Nahfeh Dohmatob) will represent Vietnam at Miss Afrikana International has quickly attracted attention. Her appearance has received numerous positive responses from the pageant community.

Huynh Tien was born and raised in An Giang, inheriting her distinctive beauty from her father, who is Cameroonian, and her mother, who is Vietnamese. Her standout features include healthy brown skin, striking curly hair, a statuesque height, and abundant energy on stage.

Her participation in the inaugural season reflects the spirit of diverse cultural exchange. Many viewers have noted that the healthy, confident beauty of the representative from An Giang closely aligns with the standards that the pageant seeks to promote.

Experience accumulated from national pageant arenas

Before making her international debut, Huynh Tien spent years honing her skills through major domestic beauty pageants. Her journey began at Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, where she placed in the Top 45 overall and won the Miss Sports award.

In 2018, the beauty continued her pageant journey by entering Miss Supranational Vietnam, advancing to the Top 15. At the competition, she also received the Miss Talent award, thanks to her ability to command the stage and her powerful singing voice before the judges.

At Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, Huynh Tien made another comeback, finishing in the Top 40. Her persistence across multiple competitions over the years has helped her refine her performance skills, catwalk technique, and ability to communicate with confidence and flexibility.

An arena honoring the African origin

Miss Afrikana International is a global beauty pageant founded and operated by Abena Akuaba. She was crowned Miss Grand International 2020 and is one of the influential figures in the international pageant industry.

After spending time managing the Miss Grand Ghana franchise, Abena Akuaba decided to establish a new beauty organization. The project aims to create a platform celebrating the beauty, intelligence, and cultural values of women of African descent from around the world.

The organization hopes to foster meaningful cultural connections among contestants of African heritage living across different countries. The reputation and hands-on experience of founder Abena Akuaba provide a strong foundation for the professional operation of the inaugural season.

Expectations for an unfamiliar stage

To prepare for this journey, Huynh Tien is focusing on completing every aspect of her preparation, from physical conditioning and eveningwear to stage presence. Having previously won the Miss Sports title, she has maintained a disciplined fitness routine to preserve her toned physique.

Beyond her physical appearance, the beauty is also investing in improving her foreign-language proficiency, communication skills, and social knowledge. This proactive willingness to learn helps her confidently express her personal views during private interview sessions with the judges.

Huynh Tien’s participation in Miss Afrikana International marks an important milestone in her modeling career. Domestic audiences are placing high expectations on the An Giang beauty to deliver a performance that vividly reflects the cultural fusion of her heritage on the global stage.
