On August 22, 2026, Thailand International Fashion Week 2026 (TIFW 2026) took place at Baiyoke Sky Hotel in Bangkok. The program brought together numerous fashion houses, creative professionals, models, and press representatives from various countries.
Opportunities for cultural diplomacy and youth talent development
The event was honored to welcome M.L. Panwad Sukhsawat from Thailand, along with representatives from agencies and organizations associated with the Governments of India and Dubai. The presence of these distinguished guests underscored the role of fashion as a bridge for diplomacy, fostering economic cooperation and cultural exchange among nations. In addition, Dr. Kanthicha Chimsiri (Yui) took to the runway, bringing an elegant touch to the event.
Highlighting the project’s strategic vision, Dr. Chirawan Lewis, founder and production director of TIFW 2026, said: “Thailand International Fashion Week was created to connect culture and commerce while opening up real-world international opportunities for young designers and models on the international stage.”
Alongside welcoming international models, the organizers placed a strong emphasis on nurturing the next generation through the “Thai Youth Go Inter” initiative, led by Rainbow Modelling in collaboration with TIFW Academy. Emerging talents were trained in professional conduct directly on site, gaining hands-on experience to prepare them for future opportunities.
A diverse stage ranging across fashion to discussions
The centerpiece of TIFW 2026 was its runway, featuring 17 presentations by independent designers and brands: Eanian478, Chantacha Saewang, Dipti Chandra, Chompooh.000, Celeb Kidz, Raison d’Être, Méthode Cachée, TIFW Swimwear, Rainbow Thailand – Designer Pla, along with Vietnamese-origin designers Nguyen Minh Truc, Tran Huynh Ngan Ha, Phan Xuan Giau, Huynh Ly Thien Nhi, and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh Linh.
Each collection featured its own distinctive visual language, combining sound effects, lighting, and modern stage production techniques to convey the creative vision of each designer. The models showcased the garments’ silhouettes and practicality in full before the attending fashion community.
Alongside the fashion presentations, the organizers also arranged a series of discussions, Talk with Dr. Kanthicha and Talk with Lord Marcuss. These sessions provided industry professionals with an opportunity to share practical experience, analyze consumer trends, and exchange perspectives on the development of the fashion industry.
A resounding ending in a welcoming atmosphere
Behind the runway presentations was the dedicated work of stage director Eakachai Selim, the coordination team led by Ms. Areerat Jamikorn, and the hair and makeup teams from Rosy Buddha Academy and Coolcut Barber. The event also received support from partners Sheikh Ayash Group of Companies, Zaap Factory, and Summit Core.
The entire technical team responsible for sound, lighting, LED screens, and model coordination worked seamlessly to ensure the professional standards expected of an international fashion week.
The evening concluded with a Grand Finale presented by Rainbow Thailand, bringing all models and designers back onto the runway to greet the audience. A group photo featuring all delegates, partners, and the organizing team officially marked the conclusion of TIFW 2026 in Bangkok.
Impressive opening in a harmonious space
Before the official runway shows, the lobby of Baiyoke Sky Hotel hosted numerous red carpet filming activities and television interviews by media outlets. The ceremony was hosted by Fongbeercia Sasithorn Satimai and Keatbuncha Ketsuwan, beginning with a brief opening address by M.L. Panwad Sukhsawat.
The opening ceremony made a strong impression with a traditional Thai artistic performance combined with a Muay Thai showcase by fighter Govan. This was followed by the appearance of the artist duo Juli & Nico, adding a lively contemporary touch to the venue before the main fashion presentations began. The combination of traditional arts and a modern spirit of international integration provided a positive start to the event’s entire series of activities.
