Music reality show “Anh Trai Say Hi” (Say Hi with Bros) won “Entertainment Phenomenon of the Year” at the “Star of the Year 2024” awards on Wednesday.
A representative from the production team of “Anh Trai Say Hi” reported that the program had amassed a total of 16 billion views across various platforms and had sold out four concerts in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The “Star of the Year 2024” award coincided with the 20th anniversary of Ngoi Sao (Star), an entertainment news subsidiary of VnExpress founded in 2004.
Pop singer Quang Hung MasterD clinched the “Talented Male Artist” award. As he was unable to attend the ceremony, he expressed his gratitude via a video message.
“I am happy, feel blessed and fortunate to hold the trophy after 10 years in the industry,” he stated. “I promise to strive to make my music better and continue to grow. I hope everyone will keep watching me.”
The “Hot Mom & Kid” award was presented to actress Phuong Oanh and her two children.
“I am honored and moved to receive this loving award, dedicated to all mothers, fathers, and children,” Oanh remarked. “On the occasion of Ngoi Sao’s 20th anniversary, I thank the sincere, loving, and kind team. I wish Ngoi Sao will always sparkle like its name.”
Pop star Ho Ngoc Ha, often referred to as the “queen of entertainment” in Vietnam, was awarded the “Inspirational Artist” title.
“I think there is much to be done to inspire the audience,” she noted in her acceptance speech. “I dedicate this award to my team. I want to do live concerts, but have had to postpone many times. I want to inspire and help those in difficult situations, helping many children have educational opportunities on this 20-plus year journey.”
Singer Hung Huynh was named “Handsome Man of the Year,” receiving 2.4 million votes from the audience.
“I am honored and moved to receive my first award in my career. I will never forget and will always remember this moment,” he declared. “This is not only a recognition but also a reminder for me to keep striving in my dream pursuit. There is no shortcut to success, only persistence can help young artists like us go far on this path.”
He also extended his gratitude to his family, fans, and the organizers of the “Anh Trai Say Hi” program for providing him the platform to showcase his talents.
Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, who holds the titles of Miss Vietnam 2022 and Miss International 2024, was voted “Beautiful Woman of the Year” by Ngoi Sao audiences, garnering 128,465 votes. Known not just for her beauty, Thuy has also launched several community initiatives, including projects to provide clean water to the underserved areas of the Mekong Delta.
“The award is a motivation for me to strive and contribute more, to make my tenure as Miss International even more radiant,” she commented.
