Girl dinner came with a side of tea as Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid enjoyed a secret night out on Tuesday. The longtime besties, who’ve been linked since Swift’s “Bad Blood”-era squad days, had “yap” on the menu as they dined at West Village’s Waverly Inn in a hidden booth, according to eyewitnesses. While catching up with the model, Swift swapped out the whimsical styles she’s been wearing lately for a “very demure” LBD with a Y2K bubble skirt.
According to eyewitnesses, the pair secretly entered through the restaurant’s kitchen and could be seen “giggling and whispering” during their intimate conversation. “[It] seemed like some gossip was being spilt,” one diner told DeuxMoi, with Page Six confirming that the duo started their dinner at 7:30 and spent about two hours at the establishment before heading home.
In photos obtained by Page Six, the “Blank Space” singer was the epitome of quiet luxury as she stepped out in a black Simkhai midi-length dress that looked like it was designed to resemble elegant separates. The crew-neck black bodice had a ribbed stretch knit fabric and flared long sleeves, thanks to slits that went all the way up to her elbows. The puffy skirt–a voluminous bubble design made out of a gorgeous taffeta–added a contrasting texture and side pockets to the dual design.
Swift leaned into the “ladies who dine” aesthetic with very demure Gucci slingback black patent leather pointy-toed heels, which featured a delicate ankle strap and a v-cut in front. The “Cruel Summer” singer flashed a surprisingly affordable rhinestone-encrusted holiday bag–the $298 Dôen Lais Bag–as she hugged Hadid on their way out of the restaurant.
Swift kept with the proper memo for her glam. She wore her blonde hair in an elegant low bun with a straight blunt fringe, showing off a diamond tennis necklace and matching earrings. Swift’s signature red lipstick and a black cat eye finished off her girls’ night out look.
Meanwhile, Hadid contrasted her friend’s all-black attire with a dark brown leather jacket, knee-high snakeskin boots in a similar hue, and a leg-flashing red skirt that had a slit all the way up to her upper thigh. Wearing her blonde bob down in a wavy effortless style, the model accessorized with a black handbag and sunglasses. Layered gold necklaces, a berry lip, and matching flush played into the late fall aesthetic.
