2025 awards tracker: From Angelina Jolie to Selena Gomez, see who’s winning (and losing) in the Oscars race so far

Nicole Kidman, “Anora,” and the casts of “Conclave” and “Emilia Pérez” have also racked up awards on EW’s tracker gauging who’s winning (and losing) this year.

Who are the top contenders for the 2025 Oscars? Well, given the status of the current awards race, the answer is half of Hollywood.

With so many awards shows and prestigious film festivals announcing their lists of annual honorees and nominees, Entertainment Weekly has launched our seasonal awards tracker that includes a report card for each film, actor, and actress who’s winning — and losing — accolades on the trail so far.

According to early tracker status, Best Actress is one of the most contentious races in recent memory, with several Hollywood titans vying for Oscars glory at the same time, including Angelina Jolie (Maria), Nicole Kidman (Babygirl), Amy Adams (Nightbitch), and Demi Moore (The Substance) — all of whom have stacked report cards alongside relative newcomers such as Mikey Madison (Anora) and Karla Sofía Gascón (Emilia Pérez).

On the other side of the aisle, Best Actor is also heating up, with Ralph Fiennes prepping for a potential holy haul in the awards race for his performance in Conclave, while The Brutalist‘s Adrien Brody is eyeing up a potential comeback on the awards scene. It’s Colman Domingo, however, who could pull off a rare feat by scoring back-to-back Oscar nods in Best Actor after previously appearing in the category for Rustin — this time thanks to his acclaimed work in Sing Sing.

2025 Oscar nominations predictions: See contenders for Best Picture and acting, from Angelina Jolie to Colman Domingo

Check back with EW’s awards tracker (below) throughout awards season, as more nominations and ceremonies roll out ahead of the March 2 Oscars telecast hosted by Conan O’Brien.

Note: This is not a list of predictions. This tally shows which contenders have won or been nominated for precursors thus far. More will be added as various nominations are announced.

  • Cannes
  • Venice Film Festival (VFF)
