Artist Dieu Ha and Dieu Linh receiving “rains of compliments” at the “Xuan Thi 5” exhibition.

On January 18, 2025, the “Xuan Thi 5” (Spring 5) exhibition by female painters Dieu Ha and Dieu Linh officially opened at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, offering art enthusiasts a vibrant spring-inspired space. With 80 oil and acrylic paintings, the two artists have created a lively, dazzling, and poetic world of art.

An exhibition full of spring spirit

The “Xuan Thi 5” exhibition is not just a painting showcase but also a gathering place for art lovers. The works of Dieu Ha and Dieu Linh have drawn significant public interest, from art collectors to artists, designers, and beauty enthusiasts. Their paintings, with bright and vivid colors, depict a lively spring landscape filled with flowers, birds, and fish in a dreamy and enchanting setting.

Art critic Jakob Pastoetter shared his thoughts: “Thank you so much, Ha D Nguyen, for a wonderful exhibition! Life without art is possible—but meaningless! The paintings in the exhibition have beautifully conveyed the joy and magic of spring.”

Additionally, designer Quynh Paris expressed her admiration: “A vibrant artistic space with works that are both intimate and profound. “Xuan Thi 5” is not just an art exhibition but also a connection of love, emotions, and hope.”

When art touches emotions

Many visitors were captivated by the graceful lines and delicate colors in Dieu Ha’s paintings. Each artwork feels like a silent story, offering viewers a sense of tranquility and reflection. A visitor, Leah Viet Ha, shared her thoughts after admiring the paintings: “I am not an expert in fine arts, but Dieu Ha’s paintings touched my heart. The soft petals and mesmerizing colors made me forget space and time, immersing me in the world of art.”

The event became even more meaningful with the presence of Dr. Ly Thi Mai—an icon of wisdom and compassion. She shared profound insights on the role of art in life: “Art is not just creativity; it is also a spiritual remedy that heals and spreads humanistic values.”

Journalist/musician keyboard Tran Trong Tu dedicated the painting “Vu Dieu Trang” (White Dance) to the exhibition, expressing: “I decided to collect this piece at the ‘Xuan Thi’ art exhibition by artists Dieu Ha – Dieu Linh, which opens today at the Museum of Fine Arts. Is there any difference when a music artist selects a painting? Yes. Of course, they are much more demanding. I was captivated at first sight because, in my opinion, white is the most difficult color to paint, and painting white flowers is the easiest to fail at. Making white stand out among many other colors requires careful, meticulous, and thorough thinking. Just like how I perceive the talent of a musician, I often ask them to play a melody on the piano. The piano is like the color white.”

A resounding success and compelling allure.

Not only praised for its artistic value, the “Xuan Thi 5” exhibition also attracted significant interest from collectors both domestically and internationally. Many paintings were marked with ribbons, indicating early purchases right from the opening days. This highlights the appeal of Dieu Ha and Dieu Linh’s works, not only for their aesthetic beauty but also for the artistic depth embedded in each piece.

The event also welcomed many notable figures from the art world, including designer Quynh Nhu Nguyen, who not only attended but also played a key role in bridging painting and fashion. With a family deeply rooted in the arts, Dieu Ha’s siblings are not only painters but also musicians, adding to the immersive artistic atmosphere of the exhibition.

Artist Dieu Ha shared: “I have always believed that art can bring people closer together, helping them share emotions and explore their inner worlds. The paintings in this exhibition are not just my creations but also a springtime greeting to all art lovers.”

An artistic space worth experiencing

The “Xuan Thi 5” exhibition offers a rich artistic experience, not only for those in the art world but also for anyone who appreciates beauty. Viewers can find deep emotions in every brushstroke and color palette. The paintings in the exhibition reflect not only individual creativity but also the harmony of nature, emotions, and traditional cultural values.

Interestingly, many visitors immediately wanted to own a piece of this collection. The paintings have a strong appeal, not just to art lovers but also to collectors. Throughout the exhibition season, the display space at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts is a must-visit destination for those who want to fully immerse themselves in the essence of spring through art.

The “Xuan Thi 5” exhibition officially concluded on February 6, 2025, at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, marking a successful and memorable artistic event. The paintings by artists Dieu Ha and Dieu Linh left a strong impression, attracting a large audience of art enthusiasts and collectors both locally and internationally. Though the exhibition has ended, the echoes of its vibrant spring-inspired artworks and the magic within each brushstroke continue to resonate in the hearts of art lovers.
