As one of the 999 Ambassadors of GSFW, Poeun Rapin carries a passion and mission to promote Cambodian culture and fashion to the world while inspiring the younger generation to pursue their dreams.

Global Student Fashion Week building a future for global young designers

GSFW is a revolutionary fashion event dedicated exclusively to global fashion training institutions, with a mission to honor young talent, encourage self-expression, and connect them with the professional fashion industry. More than just a platform for showcasing unique collections, GSFW serves as a creative forum where cultures intersect and the future of international fashion unfolds.

The event, scheduled for December 2025 in Hanoi, is set to become one of the world’s 10 most influential fashion weeks. GSFW will bring together 150 young designers from 30 prestigious universities and colleges, along with 999 Global Ambassadors, 900 professional dancers, and over 6,000 international guests. With its grand scale and limitless creativity, GSFW will be a dazzling stage for groundbreaking fashion ideas.

A distinctive feature of GSFW is the fusion of performance art and cultural values, while also creating collaboration opportunities between young designers and major brands. This serves as a platform for fashion students to learn, experiment, and showcase their talents in a professional environment.

Poeun Rapin: Representing Cambodian identity in the international fashion flow

Born in Chi Sang, a small village in Battambang Province, Cambodia, Poeun Rapin nurtured a passion for art and fashion from an early age. Determined to express himself, he actively sought opportunities to compete in beauty pageants, gradually making his mark. With a height of 1.75m and a captivating presence, he quickly gained recognition as a standout figure in Cambodia’s fashion scene.

Beyond his striking appearance, Poeun Rapin dedicated himself to honing his skills – from runway performance and posing to creative thinking in fashion. His relentless efforts earned him prestigious titles, including Mister Battambang 2023, First Runner-Up at Miss & Mister Majestic Cambodia 2024, and most notably, Mister Global Asian Cambodia 2025. Each achievement not only marked a milestone in his career but also served as a stepping stone, granting him access to new opportunities, diverse cultural experiences, and a broader perspective in the fashion industry.

However, for Poeun Rapin, success is not solely measured by titles but by the values he can create for the community. He firmly believes that a fashion career goes beyond walking the runway or posing for advertisements – it should also inspire and make a positive impact on society. Poeun Rapin continuously strives for personal growth, not only in fashion but also in business acumen and leadership. He understands that a model must do more than just perform; they need to be creative, set trends, and drive positive influence. This is why he actively participates in professional training programs, connects with industry experts, and stays updated on the latest fashion trends.

His passion and perseverance have made Poeun Rapin an ideal role model for Cambodian youth. More than just a standout figure in the fashion industry, he represents resilience and ambition. Through his own journey, he hopes to inspire young individuals who share his passion, showing them that with relentless effort, anyone can achieve their dreams.

Mission for the community: When fashion goes beyond style – it is a responsibility

Poeun Rapin is not only focused on his personal career but also carries a deep desire to contribute to the community. He is highly aware of his social responsibility and aims to use his influence to support those in need, help orphaned children, and build better educational opportunities for future generations. To him, a strong foundation in knowledge and living conditions empowers young people to grow and contribute to the prosperity of their country.

In recent years, Poeun Rapin has actively participated in numerous charitable initiatives, from organizing donation drives for underprivileged children to rallying community efforts in building schools and infrastructure in disadvantaged areas. He believes that a solid education system will nurture capable young individuals who can drive Cambodia’s sustainable development. Beyond philanthropy, Poeun Rapin is passionate about inspiring young people pursuing a career in fashion. He constantly encourages them to set clear goals, continuously learn, and innovate to enhance their personal value. To him, fashion is more than just trends – it is a reflection of culture, identity, and each individual’s forward-thinking mindset.

He firmly believes that success is not just about achieving prestigious titles but, more importantly, about using his influence to contribute to the community, create lasting value, and inspire future generations. Through concrete actions, Poeun Rapin hopes to drive positive change in society, support those less fortunate, and instill hope for a better future.

Poen Rapin connecting international culture and fashion

As a Global Ambassador, Poeun Rapin is committed to spreading the values of GSFW by leveraging his influence on media platforms, participating in initiatives that connect young designers with major brands, and promoting sustainable projects within the fashion industry. He aims to create opportunities for emerging talents to thrive while bringing Cambodian fashion closer to the global community. He sees his role at GSFW as a chance to drive the growth of Cambodia’s fashion industry, helping young designers access international markets and create lasting value.

In the future, Poeun Rapin aspires not only to continue his contributions to the fashion industry but also to expand his efforts into education and community development. He believes that by integrating art, business, and social responsibility, individuals can create meaningful impacts and contribute to a better world. With his passion and sense of duty, Poeun Rapin is steadily establishing himself not only as a talented model but also as a driving force for progress in both fashion and society.
