Regina Angarita – Leadership mindset in the new era of beauty queens

Regarded as a symbol of the fusion between beauty, intellect, and national strength, Regina Angarita – the reigning Miss Planet Colombia – is at the forefront of a new generation of beauty queens, defined by global thinking, practical action, and sustainable development strategies. From diplomatic initiatives to humanitarian projects and international trade efforts, she consistently affirms her position as the most outstanding figure at Miss Planet, where beauty is not merely to be admired, but to drive meaningful transformation for the global community.

Cultural diplomacy – Launching pad for Colombia’s image

Regina Angarita is making a strong breakthrough in her role as a diplomatic beauty queen, with steady progress in bilateral and multilateral relations between Colombia and many countries. Since starting her tenure as Miss Planet Colombia, she has built a strategic network connecting embassies and international organizations, including the Russian Embassy, where she collaborated with Mr. Azamat Kusaev (Cultural Attaché) to expand cultural and trade exchanges.

Recently, she was invited to attend a cultural event for Russian literature enthusiasts, celebrating the great poet Alexander Pushkin. The event featured renowned historian and writer Javier Ortiz Cassiani, creating a deep bridge between Russian culture and the intellectual community in Colombia.

At the same time, Regina successfully connected with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) to support international organizations, associations, development funds, and local governments in implementing humanitarian and sustainable development programs.

Humane actions in the strategic sustainable development

One of Regina Angarita’s greatest achievements is her unwavering commitment to vulnerable communities. She launched a campaign to support the Catatumbo region – an area severely impacted by armed conflict – in collaboration with the Minuto de Dios Organization, calling for donations of goods and financial support to improve the living conditions of local residents.

Regina also places special focus on children, organizing a charitable program at the Ecosueños Foundation, bringing joy and gifts from Colombian brands like Pako Peluches and Cuscini Cojines. Her sincere affection for the children has helped spread a positive message about compassion and sharing.

Additionally, she supports the PONES Foundation in accessing the Aflora Program under the Bolívar Davivienda Foundation – a capacity-building initiative for non-profit organizations with the goal of expanding social impact.

Creative economy and the role of creating new values

Not only a compassionate beauty queen, Regina Angarita is also a formidable economic operator. She has established a trade relationship with Mr. Vineet Kumar – the trade representative of the Indian Embassy – to promote the export of Colombia’s specialty products, most notably the Boyacá emeralds (Muzo, Coscuez, Chivor, Macanal), which are regarded as national treasures.

Regina has also teamed up with the “Emerald King” Alonso Porras to distribute Colombian emeralds internationally, in her role as Executive Producer and Senior Diplomatic Officer. Not stopping there, she has connected with Colombian Food Market to promote Sacha Inchi – dubbed Colombia’s “seed of peace” – a product supported by the National Ministry of Agriculture for its potential to replace illegal crops.

In the field of art, Regina collaborates with renowned artist María Teresa Bretón – who has received the Golden Brush Award in Japan and several other countries. Her surrealist works have been showcased in numerous international exhibitions, helping to solidify Colombia’s cultural presence on the global art map.

Leadership mindset and standards of a beauty queen in the era of globalization

Regina Angarita is a quintessential embodiment of the new era of beauty queens – where beauty is no longer the sole criterion, but is intertwined with intellect, resilience, and a spirit of service. Though modest and reserved, she consistently demonstrates her impact through every project and program – with keen observation, strategic planning abilities, and a strong belief in her own values. As the representative of Colombia in the journey of international integration, Regina continuously redefines the role of a beauty queen, transforming from a media icon into a soft leader, a human connector, and a creator of lasting value. With a blend of elegant beauty, global leadership thinking, and a sense of social responsibility, she is gradually reshaping the concept of “beauty queen” in the eyes of the international community.

At Miss Planet – a prestigious beauty pageant with significant influence – Regina shines not only with her charisma and meticulous preparation but also with the depth of her thinking and concrete actions. She contributes to forming a new standard for beauty queens: beautiful, profound, and dedicated to acting for the benefit of the community and her country’s standing.
