As part of the MuseumsQuartier Artist-in-Residence (AiR des MQ) project, the Dreizehn brand officially unveiled its latest collection on the evening of September 16 at the Halle E + G exhibition hall. The collection offered a fresh experimental perspective on ready-to-wear fashion through a modern Gothic aesthetic and intricate textile-fiber treatment techniques. It was regarded as one of the organizing committee’s notable efforts to connect contemporary art with the garment industry.
Fantastic performances in the third night
The 8:00 p.m. time slot on September 16 continued to maintain the energy of the fashion week with a presentation by the Dreizehn brand. As part of the “Artists in Residence” creative incubation project supported by the MuseumsQuartier arts complex, the collection played a key role in connecting the flow of ready-to-wear fashion with experimental contemporary art.

Both sides of the runway were packed with young audiences, visual artists, and international style critics. Dreizehn has long established its identity through explorations of the more challenging aspects of urban life, transforming chaotic emotions into a tailoring language imbued with a strong spirit of rebellion.
The mysterious circular logo and glowing green Dreizehn lettering at the end of the catwalk created an enigmatic atmosphere. The stage lighting gradually shifted to cool purple tones, highlighting the shredded textile structures, contrasting red threads, and vivid fiery color washes across the garments.

Intricate asymmetrical night gown techniques
The womenswear segment by Dreizehn offered a mesmerizing perspective through a series of black knitwear designs with dramatically frayed fibers. A long-sleeved cropped sweater featuring irregular cut-out sections was paired with a double-layered sheer mesh chiffon skirt with an asymmetrical diagonal hem, revealing tangled red embroidered threads underneath to create an enigmatic and captivating look.
In addition, a sleeveless evening gown crafted from distressed, frayed knit fabric and paired with a voluminous, heavily pleated skirt in deep black also made a strong impression. The designer cleverly left the sides of the outer windbreaker sleeves loose, pairing the look with black lace-up high-shaft leather boots to evoke the image of powerful warriors of the night.

Every chest cut-out, puffed pleat, and loose thread was precisely calculated to create a dramatic sense of movement with every stride of the models. The combination of frayed knit fibers and glossy windbreaker fabric created an intriguing tactile contrast.
Street-style inspiration
The menswear line focused on exploring a utilitarian aesthetic blended with the rugged edge of street culture. A glossy black bomber jacket embroidered with abstract red threadwork across the chest was paired seamlessly with gray jeans featuring multiple unusual diagonal panel seams, accentuating the male model’s athletic physique as he confidently strode down the runway.

The brand also brought a sturdy boxy utility vest with cargo pockets, crafted from black nylon, onto the runway and styled over a bare torso. The design was paired with straight-leg jeans featuring deep burgundy-red paint washes running along the thighs and hems, completing a look imbued with the understated rebellious spirit of urban youth.
The appearance of a thick, coarsely knitted wool vest featuring abstract red-and-purple streaks, paired with oversized baggy jeans, further demonstrated the designer’s sharp approach to color. Flap pockets, oversized metal zippers, and drawstring hems all emphasized a relaxed sense of freedom and ease for the wearer.

An all-around visual feast
The presentation concluded amid cheers and enthusiastic applause from the audience at Halle E + G. Industry professionals praised Dreizehn’s uncompromising creative spirit, recognizing the brand’s contribution to expanding the aesthetic boundaries of Central European fashion.

The success of the collection further demonstrated the effectiveness of the AiR des MQ artist-in-residence program at Vienna Fashion Week 2026. By connecting contemporary visual art with streetwear tailoring techniques, the brand offered a fresh and memorable perspective to the evening’s program.
