A lipstick is the ultimate accessory in the hands of Celine’s former artistic, creative, and image director, Hedi Slimane. Celine Beauté finally debuts this month at select boutiques with Le Rouge Celine, a single bullet lipstick in a fiery red called Rouge Triomphe.
Housed in a refillable gold tube that borrows inspiration from both Louis XVI jewelry and art deco, the radiant formula of Rouge Triomphe is lightly scented with notes of rose and rice powder, a nod to Slimane’s olfactive signature that runs through all of the house’s fragrance offerings. The body of the lipstick bears the brand’s Triomphe emblem, and the decision to launch with only a single shade of red is a wink to the past (A red elephant was the brand’s first logo).
Also out today are two lip brushes ($96 each), one for travel with a cap and one for home use, plus a small cosmetic pouch ($395) to help carry all your treasures. The lipstick is priced at $75 with refills available for $4.
For those looking for even more luxury, Celine beauty accessories, such as a face and body Gua Sha, an acetate hand mirror, and an audacious lipstick-holder necklace and clutch, will all be available by the end of the month in select Celine stores and online.
