Domiah Suvili Lihonde: The ambassador connecting culture, innovation and global fashion

Originally from Zambia, Domiah Suvili Lihonde is not only a beauty queen and commercial model but also a finance professional with certifications from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). With a strong passion for fashion and business, she has made her mark in various international beauty pageants, achieving remarkable success. Winning the title of Miss Planet International Zambia 2023 was not just an achievement but a significant milestone that positioned her as a global leader, bridging fashion, culture, and business. In 2025, as a Global Ambassador for Global Student Fashion Week (GSFW) 2025, Domiah continues her mission to promote diversity, creativity, and global integration within the fashion industry.

Global Student Fashion Week 2025: Gateway connecting young and creative leaders

Global Student Fashion Week (GSFW) 2025 is more than just a fashion week—it is a platform that connects and elevates young designers and outstanding individuals in the creative industry. Scheduled for December 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam, the event will bring together 150 young designers, 999 Global Ambassadors, 900 professional dancers, and over 6,000 international guests. It serves as a stage for passionate young creatives to showcase their talents and inspire others through every cut, color, and design concept.

Domiah Suvili Lihonde sees GSFW as a platform of exceptional value. To her, it is not just an event but a significant step toward bringing African fashion closer to the world. As a Global Ambassador, she is committed to using her voice and influence to connect Zambia, Africa, and other cultures with GSFW. She believes that expanding cultural diversity will not only enrich the fashion industry but also foster creativity and sustainable innovation on a global scale.

A beauty and intelligence icon’s journey of world conquest

Domiah Suvili Lihonde is not just a beauty queen; she is a visionary leader with an innovative mindset. She has proudly represented Zambia on various international beauty stages, proving her determination and grace. At Miss Heritage International 2014 in Nepal, she secured a spot in the Top 8 and won the Miss Congeniality title, showcasing her charm and spirit of unity. Two years later, she continued to shine at Miss Cosmopolitan World 2016 in Malaysia, finishing in the Top 10 and making a strong impression on the global stage.

Domiah’s career extends far beyond beauty pageants. She has strategically leveraged her platform to become a cultural ambassador, promoting Zambia’s image internationally. A pinnacle of her commercial modeling career was being selected as Zambia’s representative at Dubai Expo 2020, one of the world’s most significant trade and cultural events. This opportunity allowed her not only to highlight Zambia’s rich cultural heritage but also to reinforce her influence in bridging the country’s economy and culture with the global market.

Step by step, Domiah has expanded her presence on international stages, not only bringing home prestigious titles but also building an image of perseverance, resilience, and intelligence. She believes that each title is not just a personal achievement but an opportunity to spread a message about the strength of women, the diversity of beauty, and the importance of preserving cultural heritage. This journey has taught her that true beauty is not just about appearance – it lies in the ability to create meaningful and positive impacts on the community.

Spreading the values of fashion and shaping the young generation’s mindset

As a visionary woman, Domiah aspires to be a voice for the younger generation, women, and young girls, empowering them to believe in themselves and break free from societal stereotypes. She recognizes that in today’s world, social media and socially imposed beauty standards negatively impact young people’s confidence. Using her influence, she aims to shift perceptions, helping others understand that beauty has no fixed mold – it is a celebration of diversity in size, skin color, culture, and tradition.

Domiah also nurtures ambitions of becoming an entrepreneur in real estate and event management, aiming to create both economic and community value through innovation and creativity. She believes that business, fashion, and social development can go hand in hand to build a sustainable future.

Her journey is a testament to perseverance, innovation, and the willingness to push beyond limits. With the mindset of a leader and the heart of an inspiration, Domiah is not only making her mark in the world of beauty but also reshaping how the world perceives fashion, business, and cultural integration.GSFW 2025 will serve as a launching pad for Domiah to continue her mission – connecting, raising awareness, and driving innovation in global fashion. To her, this is not just an event but a revolutionary movement where the younger generation can come together to create a more inclusive, sustainable, and diverse future for fashion.

Ambassador of cultural diversity and global integration

As a GSFW 2025 GLobal Ambassador, Domiah Suvili Lihonde is not just a mere representative – she is a pioneer in promoting cultural integration through fashion. She sees GSFW as an important bridge helping the fashion world break down any geographical barriers, facilitating young designers – especially those from Africa – to raise their voice and affirm their talent in the international arena.

Domiah believes that fashion is not just about creativity but also a powerful medium for cultural exchange and mutual learning. Through her role, she hopes to bring Africa’s creative spirit closer to the world, providing young artists with opportunities to collaborate with established fashion industries, thereby fostering sustainable and inclusive growth. She shares, “GSFW is not just a fashion event; it is a global movement that connects people, cultures, and dreams. I am honored to be part of this journey”.

Domiah also shares a special message for students pursuing a career in fashion: “Beauty cannot be confined to rigid standards. Fashion is the freedom to express yourself in your own unique way. Seize every opportunity, keep creating, and collaborate with like-minded individuals to make a real difference”. She believes that when young designers dare to push boundaries, they not only create stunning collections but also redefine how the world perceives fashion and human values.
