On her journey to conquer her youthful dreams, La Ngoc Phuong Anh, the 2nd Runner-up of the Miss FPTU Can Tho 2024 contest and winner of the Best Evening Gown Presentation, has proven herself through perseverance, effort, and relentless determination. From a shy and insecure girl, she overcame her inner barriers to reach the spotlight on stage and in life. Most notably, she has recently been officially announced as the next name on the list of Global Student Model Ambassadors for Global Student Fashion Week – a premier fashion week dedicated exclusively to students.
Dreams come true
Phuong Anh shared that her dream of wearing glamorous outfits and standing on a grand stage had been kindled within her since childhood. However, life and self-doubt once caused that dream to fade into oblivion. In 2024, upon participating in Miss FPTU Can Tho, the girl from her past seemed to awaken, and Phuong stepped out of her comfort zone to make her dream a reality. “As a second-year student with no stage experience, I was very anxious. But I knew that if I didn’t try, I would never improve,” Phuong Anh recalled. Late-night practice sessions and moments of stumbling helped her grow stronger, more confident, and taught her invaluable lessons. Not only did she achieve the title of 2nd Runner-up, but she also excelled by winning the Best Evening Gown Presentation award. For her, these accomplishments are not merely rewards but also proof of her relentless efforts.
Phuong Anh’s mother has always been her companion and source of inspiration at every step. Phuong Anh confided, “My mother once told me: It doesn’t matter who you become, as long as you’re happy with what you’re doing. Those words have always been my guiding light through every challenge.” Although a teacher, her mother has a profound love for the arts, which further fueled Phuong’s passion and determination to pursue her dreams.
New journey at Global Student Fashion Week
Global Student Fashion Week is the world’s first fashion week dedicated exclusively to students, featuring 999 Global Ambassadors, including beauty queens, kings, and other influential figures worldwide. The event will take place in Hanoi in December 2025, alongside a gathering of 150 talented designers from 30 training institutions in Vietnam and other countries. GSFW 2025 promises breathtaking, inspirational performances and aims to become one of the top 10 most influential fashion weeks globally.
Currently serving as a Global Student Model Ambassador for GSFW, Phuong Anh hopes to use her influence to inspire the community, especially the younger generation. By leveraging social media platforms, she is spreading positive messages about perseverance and the importance of daring to pursue dreams. La Ngoc Phuong Anh’s story is not merely about achieving titles but a powerful affirmation that no limits are insurmountable if one truly strives. For her, life is a journey of continuous learning, dedication, and spreading positive values.

She shared her desire to further develop in the arts and become a positive role model for young people. “I want to challenge myself on bigger stages, not only domestically but also internationally. At the same time, I want to spread the message that anyone can make a difference if they dare to dream and act,” she said with determination. Additionally, Phuong hopes to participate more in charitable activities to support those in need. She believes that small actions, when done with heart, can create significant change. “Whether in art or life, I always strive to bring value to the community and create meaningful impacts,” Phuong Anh expressed.
