Nicole Kidman Had the Biggest Hair on the Golden Globes Red Carpet

Nicole Kidman has never met a red carpet she didn’t want to rule. The legendary star is a true red carpet icon and we wait for her arrival with bated breath, year after year, show after show. For the 2025 Golden Globes, Kidman threw it back to the ’60s with a voluminous updo that was so thick, swingy, and swishy, it deserved an award of its own.

Hairstylist Adir Abergel was behind Kidman’s Globes look, pulling the Babygirl star’s hair tightly back from her forehead for a sleek foundation for the faux ponytail. The rest of her hair was teased up and pinned at the crown of her head, with tons of oomph and bombshell thickness throughout the mid-lengths to the ends. (Seriously, how many pounds of hair extensions do you think she’s wearing?) Abergel flipped out some of the ends to give the style lots of bounce and body. While it looks like a ponytail depending on the angle—and there may be one hiding underneath to give it even more volume—it appears that this is more of a classic upstyle than a power pony.

Kidman’s faux power pony was the perfect complement to her backless silver Balenciaga gown; her hair swished and swayed beautifully against the backless silhouette. The rest of her Golden Globes glam, by makeup artist Gucci Westman, was as glowy and shimmery as her dress, with lots of warm peachy tones across her lids, lips, and cheeks.

We know Kidman is going to serve us a look when she steps on the red carpet, and this swingin’ ’60s style was no exception. Honestly, I think I need to invest in some volumizing, texturizing spray and a teasing comb after seeing it in all its thick, voluminous glory. And the winner for Most Inspiring Hairstyle from the 2025 Golden Globes goes to… this one!
