Paris Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2025 Runways Were Filled With These 6 Trends

Boho-Chic

When Chemena Kamali showed her first Chloé collection in February, she ushered in a return to the bohemian aesthetic. This season, she upped her game, sending models down the runway in flowy chiffon dresses, delicate lace, and high-waisted sun-bleached jeans. Kamali was not alone in this approach: Delicate floral prints in sheer layers, fringe shoulder bags, denim, lace and flat sandals were a constant throughout the week.

Masculine

The first night of Paris Fashion Week kicked off with Saint Laurent. The models came out in menswear-inspired suiting, oversized blazers, trousers, and waistcoats punctuated with ties. This set the tone for a week filled with nods to menswear standbys; the oversized trouser was a staple at almost every show. Bold-shouldered blazers were worn over dresses as well as pants. All of these pieces will easily translate to cool looks this spring.

Pastel

The pastels this season felt extra light and faded. From the palest of mint green and baby blue to sheer blush pink, this palette created a soft counterpoint to the masculine trend. Elements of vintage lingerie such as silk crepes, toile cottons, and lace played into the sweetness of the color scheme.

Light as a Feather

The feathered sunglasses at Chanel capped off a week that was heavy on the motif. A standout couture dress in what turned out to be Hedi Slimane’s final collection for Celine was a checkerboard-patterned minidress made of ostrich feathers. And at Valentino, feathers added an extra touch of glamour to Alessandro Michele’s first collection for the house.

Mash-Up

So many shows this season made personal style a focal point, putting together pieces that you might not necessarily think would work at first glance.

Stand Alone

One of the boldest trends this season was not only volume, but pieces that quite literally stood on their own, with the help of wires, boning, or innovative fabrics.
