Zendaya Totally Transformed Her Hair With Thick Bangs and a Long Ponytail

She looks completely different than she did at the Golden Globes—except for that ring.

Zendaya knows exactly how to get us talking about her, and always in a good way. Just one day after she stunned at the Golden Globes in one of the most gorgeous looks of the night—including an Old Hollywood bob and a rumor-provokingly located diamond ring—the acclaimed actor made another public appearance with a completely different (and equally fabulous) look.

Zendaya attended a special screening of Challengers at the Pacific Design Center on Monday, January 6, in West Hollywood. Wearing a black leather blazer, she chatted about the film, in which she delivered a performance that earned her a Golden Globe nomination, but there’s so much we wish she’d delved into—namely her hair and her seemingly evolving marital status.

After wearing a copper-highlighted, wavy bob on Sunday, her hairstyle completely transformed in a way only a famous chameleon like Zendaya could pull off. She switched to a deep, shiny, espresso brown shade—but that wasn’t the only change. Her hair was suddenly at least a foot longer, and pulled into a high, gently wavy ponytail.

Completing the hairstyle were some seriously opaque bangs. Not a hint of forehead could be seen beneath the fringe, which reached down past her eyebrows and was bookended by long tendrils.

The only things that didn’t look completely different were Zendaya’s hands. She was still wearing her sheer, pink Golden Globes manicure, and more importantly, her left ring finger was still wearing the diamond that got everyone talking on Sunday. Celebrities are often lent the jewelry they wear on the red carpet, so either Zendaya loved it so much that she asked the lender if she could wear it a couple more days, or it’s her own wear-all-the-time kinda ring. In other words: an engagement ring.

Although some outlets are citing anonymous sources for confirmation of Zendaya’s engagement to long-time boyfriend Tom Holland, the couple (and Spider-Man costars) still haven’t personally confirmed whether or not they’re taking their relationship to the next level. In the meantime, we’ll just have to enjoy Zendaya taking her hair to new levels instead.
