The organizers of Manila International Fashion Week (MIFW) have officially announced the schedule for the 2025 event season, taking place from November 28 to 30 at the Okada Manila complex. With participation from over 10 countries and hundreds of models, designers, and artists, MIFW 2025 is considered one of the largest fashion weeks in the region. According to program representatives, this year’s MIFW aims to connect cultures through fashion, encourage creative exchange, and provide a space for young talents to access the international market.
International-caliber fashion event gathering renowned nations
Manila International Fashion Week over the years has been considered an important milestone in the creative industry of the Philippines. In its 6th season, the event continues to expand its scale, bringing together designers and brands from the US, Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, the UK, and the Philippines. The event will be directed by Rolando Lotho and Larry Asistin, with the support of Quezon City LGU and Quezon City Tourism.
The highlight of 2025 is the collaboration between MIFW and Belarus Fashion Week. This is seen as a new step in the strategy to expand international cooperation, opening opportunities for Filipino designers to engage with the European market while bringing creative perspectives from Eastern Europe to Asian audiences.
Besides fashion shows, MIFW 2025 also attracts attention with an exhibition area for local brands, artists, beauty clinics, salons, jewelry designers, etc., creating a diverse networking space for the beauty and creative industry.
The three-day schedule: Awards, model search, and fashion shows
According to the official announcement, MIFW 2025 activities will last for three days, including an awards ceremony, a model search program, exhibitions, and the main runway shows.
November 28 – MIFW Awards
- 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Kids & Teens Edition – celebrating prominent kid and teen models.
- 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Fashion Film Festival – introducing creative visual products revolving around fashion.
- 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Fashion & Lifestyle Awards – celebrating individuals and organizations with significant contributions to the fashion and lifestyle industry.
The organizers stated that 100 child and teen models will participate, creating a dedicated runway for the younger generation of the fashion industry.
November 29 – Designer & Muse Photoshoot
The second day will focus on backstage activities, including photo sessions between designers and “models.” It is also the occasion for brands to make their final preparations for the main runway show.
November 30 – MIFW Gala Show
- 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Young Faces to Watch – Cycle 6, a show to search for promising models.
- 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Fashion for All – celebrating fashion’s diversity and pervasiveness.
- 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: MIFW The Model Search Presentation – a contest gathering 50 contestants.
- 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Local Designers – a stage for Filipino designers.
- 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: International Designers – performances from international brands.
- 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Bravo Filipino – celebrating the creative spirit imbued with Filipino identity.
In parallel, the MIFW Creative Industry Forum will bring together numerous international speakers and experts to share global trends in fashion, creativity, innovation, and the development of the cultural industry.
Honoring local creativity and prominent talents
The distinction of MIFW 2025 lies in the harmonious combination of international brands and local designers. According to the organizers, this season brings together many familiar names who have previously appeared at major fashion weeks in the region.
Among them, Paulo Juan, a designer pursuing sustainable fashion, continues to attract attention. He is known for using traditional materials such as abaca, piña, and jusi, while honoring the craftsmanship of Filipino artisans in contemporary collections.
In addition, the event features numerous designers from both domestic and international backgrounds, including Rye Baile, Jaime Escarpe, LJ Boiser, Lorienel Agawin, Florelyn Lara Ugale, Bench Bello, Jay-r Gamboa Flores, Alex Piago, Elena Murzina, ETSUKA, Jonathan Yun, Lynette Medina, Joey Gicoso and Marjorie Kobayashi. This diversity promises rich runway shows, showcasing various schools and styles.
Held in the luxurious space of Okada Manila, Manila International Fashion Week 2025 aims to further elevate the image of the Philippine capital as a new creative hub in the region.
