Nguyen Duc Phong Thien, a 13-year-old teen model from Bac Ninh, has officially been announced as an Image Representative for Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026. In addition to participating in high-end runway presentations, the young model will take part in a multi-platform media campaign jointly organized by the event committee and an international lineup of beauty queens and kings. In his new role, Phong Thien will accompany the event throughout its four-day program, scheduled to take place in Hanoi from late July to early August.
Admirable breadth of accomplishments and experience from a 13-year-old
Nguyen Duc Phong Thien is currently a student at Tu Son Secondary School in Bac Ninh Province. From an early age, he demonstrated talent in both the arts and sports, while seriously pursuing singing, hip-hop dance, fashion modeling, and basketball. This well-rounded development has helped him cultivate a confident and versatile stage presence.
Before taking on his role at Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026, the teen model had already appeared on several major runways, including Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week, the “Ha Vai” fashion show, and designer Thach Linh’s “Giao Thoi” show. One of his proudest milestones came when he was selected as the lead Vedette for Giao Thoi. Successfully carrying such a prominent role not only strengthened his confidence but also provided valuable lessons in stage presence and performing in front of the media.
Phong Thien’s journey into professional modeling began under the guidance of designer Le Tran Dac Ngoc, who recognized his potential and became his first mentor. From teaching the fundamentals of catwalk techniques to helping him develop body movement and stage expression, the designer laid a solid foundation for his career. Speaking about his appointment as an Image Representative, Phong Thien shared: “My first reaction was one of complete surprise and happiness. This is an incredible opportunity for me to meet new people, learn from others, and walk on a world-class stage at the Vietnam Exposition Center (VEC).”
Rigorous catwalk training before the event
In preparation for the four-day program, scheduled from July 31 to August 2, 2026, as part of the strategic collaboration with Vietnam Event & Exhibition Week 2026 (VEEW), Nguyen Duc Phong Thien has been focusing on refining the essential skills required for the event. His training sessions center on perfecting his catwalk technique, maintaining a confident presence in front of the camera, and developing facial expressions that align with the creative concept of each fashion collection.
In addition to professional training, the teen model follows a regular fitness routine to maintain the stamina needed for the demanding event schedule. Thorough preparation in both technical skills and physical endurance will help ensure consistent performance throughout the runway shows. Throughout his artistic journey, Phong Thien has also received unwavering support from his family. His parents personally accompany him to training sessions, prepare his performance outfits, and encourage him at every event. Their constant support has become a powerful source of motivation, inspiring him to fulfill his new role to the best of his ability and live up to his family’s expectations.
Grand organizing scale featuring a revolutionary stage design
Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026 traces its origins to Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week, which was established in 2018. After eight years of continuous innovation under the management of MAG World International Joint Stock Company, the event has officially evolved into an international fashion week operating under a unified structure. It now serves as a platform that closely connects three major creative communities: All Stars, Junior, and Student.
This year’s edition brings together more than 30 brands and renowned fashion designers, alongside hundreds of beauty queens, runners-up, and kings representing countries from around the world. One of the event’s defining features is its transformable central stage, which is reconfigured for each show through dynamic lighting, customized runway layouts, and adaptable spatial design. This continuous reinvention promises audiences a distinctive and highly creative visual experience.
As the fashion centerpiece of the main stage at Vietnam Event & Exhibition Week 2026 (VEEW 2026), the event contributes to fostering the convergence of culture, entertainment, and international commerce. The organizing committee aims to establish a globally connected creative platform while strengthening Vietnam’s presence on the world fashion industry map. Vietnam’s selection as the host nation for the 2026 edition further underscores the growing influence and media appeal of its domestic fashion market.
Prolonged media and charitable campaigns throughout the event
In his new role, Nguyen Duc Phong Thien will appear at the event’s grand opening ceremony and participate in promotional activities throughout the four-day program. The teen model will take part in the production of the official television commercial and the event’s key visual campaign, posing alongside an international lineup of beauty queens and kings. His presence alongside globally recognized titleholders highlights both his media appeal and the growing prominence of Vietnam’s new generation of young models.
A major highlight of his schedule will take place during Global Junior Fashion Week on August 1, 2026, where the organizing committee has entrusted Phong Thien with opening one of the evening’s elaborately choreographed artistic performances. The opportunity will allow the young model to showcase a series of standout designs while taking center stage on the event’s dynamically reconfigurable runway, one of the signature features of Asia’s leading children’s fashion celebration.
Beyond his runway appearances, Phong Thien will also serve as a Global Ambassador for the charitable initiative “Ambassadors of Love.” In this capacity, he will participate in a range of community outreach activities held alongside the event, helping to promote meaningful humanitarian values. Following the conclusion of his ambassadorial term, Phong Thien plans to continue developing his skills in acting, dance, and vocal performance as he steadily pursues a versatile career in the performing arts.
