Thu Hien – going beyong the comfort zone, reaching the global runway

The gorgeous beauty queen On Thi Thu Hien is currently a final-year student at Vietnam National University of Agriculture. Recently, On Thi Thu Hien officially joined the “common home” of Global Student Fashion Week as the Global Student Model Ambassador. Her impressive beauty and exceptional talent promise to leave a lasting impression on the public and convey meaningful messages to the community.

Thu Hien “highlighting” Global Student Fashion Week

Global Student Fashion Week (GSFW) marks a historic milestone as the world’s first fashion week dedicated exclusively to educational institutions in the field of fashion, with students as the central focus. The inaugural GSFW 2025 will span seven days, bringing together 150 designers from 30 fashion schools worldwide. Additionally, the event will feature performances by 450 beauty queens and kings, 900 dancers, and more than 6,000 attendees. Global Student Fashion Week 2025 promises to deliver stunning and inspiring performances, cementing its place as one of the 10 most influential fashion weeks on the planet.

Thu Hien was born and raised in Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc. She has achieved notable successes in beauty pageants, including placing in the Top 20 of Miss Global Vietnam 2022, participating in Miss World Vietnam 2023, and earning the title of First Runner-up at the Miss Vietnam National University of Agriculture 2023. Not only captivating hearts with her beauty, she also possesses remarkable talents and fluent, confident communication skills in all situations, leaving a strong impression. Her new journey at GSFW promises to bring many surprises and breakthroughs.

On Thi Thu Hien – The resilient beauty

The Miss Global Vietnam 2022 Top 20 shared: “I bravely stepped out of my comfort zone, overcame my limits and insecurities to transform into a better version of myself every day. Now, I am very proud and satisfied with my present life. More than anyone else, we must live and fight for our goals, so we can feel proud of ourselves.”

With big dreams as just a second-year university student and a desire to compete in beauty pageants, she continuously worked hard, developed herself, and broke out of her comfort zone to “reach out to the big sea”. On the journey to conquer success, the emotional and psychological struggles of individuals are crucial. The beauty queen also aims to spread the message: “On the path to success, you will face countless challenges and difficulties… Always maintain a strong spirit, determination, perseverance, focus, and good health to achieve success”.

Furthermore, behind her resilient efforts is someone who always stands by her side during moments of fatigue or discouragement – her mother. Her mother has been a source of motivation, constantly supporting and encouraging her, walking alongside her through significant milestones in life.

The GenZ beauty with a burning passion

According to the beauty queen, having physical beauty should be accompanied by intellectual growth. She believes that being a girl with both “beauty and intellect” represents true beauty. For this reason, she continually strives to prove her capabilities, ensuring she is not overshadowed or misunderstood by previous generations. She encourages others to pursue their passions, set goals, nurture ambitions, and live with purpose, making their youth meaningful because “Youth, once gone, will never return”.

As the Global Student Model Ambassador for GSFW 2025, she hopes: “I can bring positive energy and, at the very least, convey a meaningful message through the program. From there, I hope all the young people out there will listen, feel, and resonate with it.”

Let’s all look forward to the explosive combination between On Thi Thu Hien and GSFW!
